John White - Aug 7 2007.doc . Page 1 Indian Point Energy Center Status Report August 7, 2007 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100 percent power and has been online for 69 days. Unit 3 is operating at 100 percent reactor power and has been on line for 97 days.
Entergy Testing New Siren System Aug. 11 Entergy is conducting a full-volume test of the NEW Indian Point emergency alert notification sirens in Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam counties. The sirens will sound for four minutes on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. WHUD Radio (100.7 FM) will test the Emergency Alert System immediately following the siren test.
Additionally, Entergy is conducting "silent" tests six times each day on the new siren system through Friday, Aug. 10. The silent tests occur in the morning, mid-afternoon and in the early evening, allowing Entergy to monitor the performance of each siren and the communications to them.
NO RESPONSE ON THE PART OF THE PUBLIC IS NECESSARY DURING THESE SIREN TESTS.
