Page 1 of 1 Docket No. 50-338 Report No. LER 79-147/03L-0 Description of ? vent On October 26, 1979, with the unit in Mode 6, fifteen fire hose stations in the Auxiliary Building were removed from service for more than I hour.

This event is contrary to T.S. 3.7.14.5 and reportable pursuant to T.S. 6.9.1.9.b.

Probable Consequences of Occurrence The consequences of this event were minimal because hoses from outside hose houses were routed into the Auxiliary Building within the hour to provide coverage for the unprotected areas.

As a result, the health and safety of the general public were not affected.

There are no generic implications associated with this event.

.Cause of Occurrence The Auxiliary Building fire hose stations were drained down to allow one of the hose stations to be moved to a new location.

Immediate Corrective Action Fire hoses of equivalent capacity were routed into the Auxiliary Building to provide coverage for the unprotected areas and the fire hose stations were promptly returned to service af ter the required modification had been completed.

Scheduled Corrective Action No scheduled corrective action is required.

Actions Taken to Prevent Recurrence No further actions tre required.
