Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 SUBJECT: SUMMARY OF MARCH 4, 2015, CLOSED MEETING BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION, AND SOUTHERN NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY, INC. TO DISCUSS THE FLOODING ANALYSIS ASSOCIATED WITH JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. MF3037 AND MF3038) On March 4, 2015, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a closed meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USAGE) and Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (SNC) to discuss the flooding hazard reevaluation (FHR) for Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Farley). The meeting was held at USACE's offices in Mobile, Alabama. The closed meeting notice dated February 26, 2015, can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML 15055A562. The participants in the meeting included the following individuals:

• NRC -Brad Harvey, Robert Kuntz, Warren Sharp, Andy Campbell, Christopher Cook and Juan Uribe*

• USAGE -Roger Kay, Chris Fassero, Niklas Hallberg, Randall Harvey, Micah Wiggins, Valerie Morrow, Bailey Crane

• SNC -John Giddens, Ken Darby, Scott Walden, Stacey Graham

• SNC contractors (AMEC FW) -Matthew Lehrer, Ben Zoeller

• indicates individual participated via phone The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the portion of the FHR that the USAGE is performing under contract to the NRC for Farley. By letter dated September 26, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML 13274A343), SNC requested NRC assistance in having the USAGE perform a dam failure analysis to support SNC's development of an FHR in response to the March 12, 2012, request for information (ADAMS Accession No. ML 12073A348). The USAGE and NRC provided SNC with the preliminary results of the U$ACE dam failure analysis. SNC presented the analysis of the watershed it has completed to the NRC and USAGE The NRC and USACE requested that SNC provide the information that it had developed related to topography near the Farley site. The licensee provided that information to the NRC by letter dated March 13, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML 15084A588).
