PUBLIC MEETING
SUMMARY
-2022 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING FOR JOSEPH M. FARLEY, UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NO. 50348, AND 50364 MEETING NUMBER 20230610 On May 23, 2023, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted an inperson meeting concerning Joseph M. Farley, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the annual assessment for the period of January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022.
To allow the NRC to effectively engage public stakeholders, the meeting was held at the DoubleTree Hotel, 2740 Ross Clark Circle in Dothan, Alabama. The meeting notice and annual assessment letters are accessible from the publicly available records (PARS) component of the NRCs document system (ADAMS). These documents have the following Accession Nos. in ADAMS: Meeting Notice (ML23137A100) and the annual and follow-up assessment letters issued on March 1, March 30, and May 5, 2023 (ML23054A238, ML23089A399, and ML23122A248, respectively).
The meeting was conducted from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM central time. There were approximately 14 attendees. In summary, the attendees consisted of representative(s) from the NRC (8) and Southern Nuclear Company (6). At the conclusion of the discussion, there was an opportunity for the public to provide comments and ask questions to the NRC staff.
The meeting was listed in the Public Meeting Feedback System (PMFS) under Meeting Code (20230610), and, as of the date of this memo, one feedback responses was obtained.
