Subject:

SEP Topic VI-1 R.E.Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket No.50-244

Dear Mr.Ziemann;Your letter of June 6,

1979 requested that we provide informa-tion on SEP Topic VI-l,"Organic Materials and Post Accident Chemis-try." The basis for your request was that your review of the dockets for some SEP plants revealed that the information you required was not available.

Thus, it was concluded that no information was available on the Ginna docket. As we have discussed with several members of your Staff on various occasions, the Ginna docket does contain sub-stantial information bearing on this topic.Specifically, Appendix 6E of the Ginna FSAR, entitled"Materials Compatibility Review," and our discussion of Regulatory Guide 1.54 on Supplement 1 to the Tech-nical Supplement Accompanying Application for a Pull-Term Operating License, submitted by letter dated December 20, 1973, are responses to this SEP topic.Accordingly, rather than extracting information from these reports to respond to your specific questions, we suggest that your Staff review the information which is already on the Ginna docket. We will be pleased to discuss this topic further following your Staff's review of the material presently on the Ginna docket.Very truly yours,)L.D.Whx e, Jr.p(7 906190 l 1 k
