Centlement The enclosed application requests that the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power LStation, Unit Number 1 Operating Licenst,: Appendix A, Technical y Spacifications.(TS) be-revised to reflect the changes attached. The proposed changes' involve TS 3/4.7.1.3, Plant Systems, Condensate Storage Tank,-and Bases Section 3/4.7.1.3, Plant Systems, Condensate Storage Facilities. 1

The proposed changes vould delete the reference.to the Deaerator Storage
Tanks'(DSTs) as condensate storage facilities for the Auxiliary Feedvater System _in Limiting-Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.7.1.3, and would revise the nomenclature for " condensate storage tank" and " condensate storage facilities" to " Condensate Storage Tanks"~in LCO 3.7.1.3,' Surveillance-l Requirement.4.7.1.3.1,.and Bases Section 3/4.7.1.3. These changes are being made to correct the TS in that the alignment'of the DSTs to the-Auxiliary L

'Feedvater Pumps-(AFPs) is not allowed because=1) the high-temperature _ vater from:the DSTs can damage the AFPs' bearings, and 2)-the AFPs'-discharge i lines _vould be considered.high energy lines. The changes.in nomenclature are being made because, with the deletion of the deaerator storage tanks,-

, -- the only. condensate' storage facilities remaining are the condensate storage L tanks.
