Dear _Mr. Maas:

-In accordance with your application dated August 4. 1997, supplementary information dated November 14. 1997. and information previously submitted on April 24, 1997, and pursuant to Part 70 to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Materials License SNM-1227 is hereby amended to authorize the use of a UF, Cylinder Recertification Facility (CRF). Accordingly. Safety Condition S-1 is revised to include the dates of April 24. August 4. and November 14. 1997.

All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.

Enclosed are copies of the revised Materials License SNM-1227 and the Safety Evaluation Report, which includes the Categorical Exclusion determination.
