Cear Mr. Mass:

In accordance with your application dated July 14,1997, and supplementary information dated December 3, and December 30,1997, and January 12,1998, and pursuant to Part 70 of_ Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Special Nuclear V.aterial License SNM-1227 is hereby amended to authorize the use of an Operations Scrap Warehouse (Warehouse 7). Accordingly, Safety Condition S-1 is modified to include the dates of July 14, December 3, and Ducember 30,1997, and January 12,1998.

All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.

Enclosed are copies of the revised Materials License SNM-1227 and the Safety Evaluation Report, which includes the categorical exclusion determination.
