Annual FSAR Update and Report. of Facility Changes, Tests, and Experiments Conducted Without Prior Approval R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket. No. 50-244

==Dear Mr. Lear:==

In accordance with 10CFR50.71(e)(4) and (5), RGSE has prepared                                  its 1986 annual revision to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR). Enclosed are the original and 12 copies of the revised pages, marked with a change indicator with a "2" placed next to it, as well as a list of effective pages. It. is noted that change indications without a number denote revisions made for RGSE's first revision to the UFSAR submitted in December 1985.
The                      information presented in Revision 2 represents changes made            to the facility since the last revision, and information and analyses prepared pursuant. to Commission requirements.
The Report. of Facility Changes, Tests and Experiments Conducted Without Prior Approval is also submitted as required by 10CFR50                  ~  59(b).
Enclosed are the                        original and 1 copy  of the report. containing the description and a summary of the, safety evaluation of the modifications to the facility as described in the UFSAR. It is our current. understanding that. the description of changes made to the facility and analyses described in the annual UFSAR revision are not. deemed adequate to satisfy the reporting requirement. in 10CFR50.59(b). Therefore, we are including a summary of the changes, tests and experiments completed in 1984, 1985 and through July 1986, which corresponds to the closure date for the 1986 UFSAR revision.

In the future, separate reports will be developed to revise the UFSAR and  to report facility changes, test. and experiments conducted without prior approval.

Annual FSAR Update and Report. of Facility Changes, Tests, and Experiments Conducted Without Prior Approval R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket. No. 50-244

Dear Mr.
