The subject statement has been reviewed within the areas of the National Ocean Survey's (NOS) responsibility and expertise, and in terms of the impact of the proposed action on NOS activities and projects.

Geodetic control survey monuments may be located in the proposed project area. If there is any planned activity which will disturb or destroy these monuments, NOS requires not less than 90 days'otifica-tion in advance of such activity in order to plan for their relocation.

NOS recommends that funding for this project includes the cost of any relocation required for NOS monuments.
