In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50 54q, the change has been made without commission approval as it does not decrease the effectiveness of the plan and the plan as changed continues to satisfy the applicable requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR 50.

The change is summarized below:

SECTION 7.0 EMERGENCY MEASURES Section 7.1.1 "Offsite Dose This change adds the description of the Remote Calculation" Monitoring System. This system provides information (magnitude, direction and type of radiological release) which can be used to assist field monitoring teams and to supplement the information provided by in-field monitoring teams. This system is considered an enhancement to the existing capabilities in that it can provide an additional source of data to assist field monitoring teams in locating and assessing radiological conditions; however, this system is not relied upon to provide data and its loss will not prevent the gathering of data.
