This letter confirms discussions between Mr. Patrick L. Hiland of my staff and Mr. Mark Lombard '
of your staff, to have a meeting at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Headquarters, Two White Flint North, Room T-8A1, on June 29,1998, at 1:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to l discuss the results of your Nuclear Safety Culture assessment, conducted by SYNERGY, in response to our December 8,1997, letter regarding the NRC's concem about the potential for a chilled environment to exist at the gaseous diffusion plants. As discussed with your staff, we expect the' majority of our discussions to be open for public observation; therefore, any proprietary information you consider relevant should be reserved until non-proprietary discussions are completed.
We will gladly discuss any questions you may have concoming this matter.
