As you knew, I have called sc e problems at the Cconee Nuclear Station to the attention of tha AIC. Thanks to the efforts of yourself and Senator Ernest F. Hollingsg an inyestiga. tion ensued.                                          I was contacted bf a Mr. C. E. Murphy of the Atlanta AEC office, via talephone, ard advised that all to the incidents that I had knowledg2 cf had boon confirmend...and that all had been investi6ated, and proper action taken.
Mr. Murphy fudhar stated that I would receive a detailed report of these incidents very shcrtly. In addi. tion, Mr. Murphy was quite cardid cver the phone, ard told me a I could accc=py his on subsequent investigations if I had infer =ation to reveal.                                                                                                                                                      {
At this time, I felt that the AIC was really doing its job of regulation.

* fact, I felt Mr. Murphy and the AIC was genuine in their concern over the proble=s at Ocones. So, I wrote a quite frank and honest letter to Mr. No::an C. Moseley, Director, Directorate of Regulatory C;erations, Atlanta, Georgia. I did not make a copy cf this letter, ht told Mr. Mesaley that I would be willing to tour Ocones with' Mr. Mur-lhy, ard point cut. the trip;cd nonitors that I centioned to him ever the phone.                      And I than' ad his for the st: rial cent, ad told his I uas looking for-wa.'d to the report that I*r.
