onn vvnuie - JUIy 24, UUb.ocPae Page 1li Indian Point Energy Center Status Report July 24, 2006 Operational Status - IP3 Returned to Service After Manual Trip Indian Point Unit 3 returned to service early Saturday morning about 19 hours2.199074e-4 days <br />0.00528 hours <br />3.141534e-5 weeks <br />7.2295e-6 months <br /> after the unit was manually tripped by control room operators on Friday. Operators decided to trip the plant when an operator on a routine walkdown noticed some sparks near the main generator. The sparks under the generator were caused by a scaffold that came in contact with the generator. It was in the process of being removed, although no one was working on it when the sparks were noticed. There was no damage to the generator and plant system responded as expected.

Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100% power and has been on line 67 days.
