RESULTS OF PSCo BOARD MEETING The Public Service Company of Colorado Board of Directors has announced the following three actions concerning the Fort St. Vrain station.
- a. An expense write down of company assets in an amount of $75-100 million dollars. This will have a potential impact on the stockholders, but not on the rate payers,
- b. A study of alternatives relating to the future operations of the facility.
- c. The approval of a settlement agreement with litigating parties in suits before the Colorado State Supreme Court.
The licensee held a press briefing following the board meeting, and has issued a press release. The NRC does not plan to issue a press release. Local press in the Denver area has published articles on the board decisions.
The State of Colorado will be notified.
