The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staf f on this date.

FACILITY TAKEN CRITICAL The Fort St. Vrain facility was taken critical at 10:55 p.m. on l
July 1, 1976. The facility had been in a shutdown condition since May 1975 for corrective actions for electrical cable routing deficiencies; broadening of fire prevention, detection and suppression coverage; and installation of alternate cooling capabilities. Operation at a level of 40% of rated power was authorized on June 18, 1976.
This Preliminary Notification is issued for information only and no further action by IE is anticipated.
j The Region IV (Arlington, Texas) inspector was at the site and witnessed the attainment of criticality.
