The < licensee notified Region II that a contr6ct worker severely burned last week. in an
" accident at .the Crystal River Unit 3 switchyard has died. The individual was .Mr. Don Shirley 'and was an employee of Flour Constructors. He died on October 27 at 5:30 p.m.
(EST).
The licensee also reports that Floor employees walked out today (October 28) in sympathy over Mr. Shirley's death. There was no immediate word on how long they would be out.

Inspectors from the U. S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) arrived at the.
site on.0ctober 26 to investigate the accident. OSHA inspectors expect to complete their inquiry-and exit the site by October 30.
