2. One (1) copy of Affidavit (Non-Proprietary).

This report describes the COBRA-NC model of the Catawba ice condenser containment, and a series of calculations of the containment response for a postulated Main Steam Line Break in which superheated steam enters the containment. The heat transfer models as well as the ice condenser drain flow effects are fully described.

This report is submitted for review to the NRC for acceptance as licensing material for reference on one or more applications. This letter may be referenced as part of license applications for Duke Power Co. (Catawba) and Tennessee Valley Authority (Watts Bar).
