OF APRIL 21, 2022, MEETING WITH FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT/NEXTERA ON TURKEY POINT IMPROVED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CONVERSION LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST (EPID NO. L-2021-LLI-0002)

On April 21, 2022, a virtual Observation public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of Florida Power and Light/NextEra (FPL, the licensee). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the license amendment request (LAR) for Turkey Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 3 and 4 (Turkey Point) to convert to improved standard technical specifications in accordance with NUREG-1432, Combustion Engineering Plants, Rev. 5 (improved technical specification (ITS) Rev. 5). The meeting notice and agenda, dated April 4, 2022, are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22095A013. A list of attendees is provided in the Enclosure.

The following item was discussed during the meeting:

Licensee proposal to move the power-operated relief valve (PORV) operability requirements to a Technical Requirements Manual.
