The purpose of this modification is to increase the total amount obligated to this contract. Therefore, the following change is hereby incorporated:
Delete Article IX - Ceiling, in its entirety and substitute the following in lieu thereof:

" Article IX - Ceiling The total amount obligated by the Commission under this contract is $1,218,150.00. The obligational ceiling specified above may be increased by the Contracting Officer at his discretion from time to time by written notice to the contractor. When and if the amount (s) paid and payable to the contractor hereunder shall equal the ceiling, the contractor shall be excused from further performance of the work (except to meet existing commitments and
, liabilities) unless and until the Contracting Of ficer shall increase the amount obligated with respect to this contract. If and to the extent that such ceiling has been increased, any costs incurred by the contractor in excess of the ceiling prior to its increase shall be allowable to the same extent as if such costs had been incurred after such increase in the ceiling."
As a result of this modification, the total amount obligated to the contract is increased by $12,150.00, from $1,206,000.00, to $1,218,150.00.
