We are s uit naving givuiems v.2m t.ne transcripts o the Commission meetings, particularly the cover pages.

These frequently have misspellings on them er do not ha

The title should be the same as that,

On the May 27, 1983, transcript, the ccver was g*

completely wrong with the title reading, " Evaluation q.],{. - k ),
of Implications of Salem Event (Part II)," instead of " Discussion and Possible Vote on Full Power Operatuy' 4~'",
License for McGuire 2," plus McGuire was incorrectly (T'
spelled on page 1.
There were a couple of complete sentences left out of this transcript.
The word "Oconee" was spelled "Ocone" throughout.
(See attached.)
2.
Because the transcript is filed and referenced by the 1 ) 6//c, 4
title, it is important that the schedule title be iden-2 tical to the transcript title.
On the attached, you will note:
a.
Cover:
" Commission Meeting on NPRDS" b.
Page 1:
" Briefing on Nuclear Plant Reliability Data System (NPRDS)"
Version b is correct and was the title on the schedule at the reporter's desk.
3.
In the June 6 transcript on Discussion of Pending Investi-I gations, the name "Plaine" was spelled correctly on the l
first page and then spelled " Plain" throughout the rest of the transcript.

June 8,.1983 4.
On the transcript for the meeting entitled " Oral Presentations on Indian Point Emergency Planning and Preparedness" held on May 26, 1983, we requested five-hour delivery from you early on the~ morning of the meeting.
The meeting was over at 12:30 p.m.
By 5:30 p.m., we had received only 34 pages of the transcript and did not receive the balance of the session (pages35-117) until 6:35 p.m.
(too late for use that day).
We do not always know before meeting time whether a transcript will be needed on five-hour delivery.
This happensoso infrequently that we would appreciate. timely delivery when it is requested.
5.
We also, on occasion, are having problems getting the Reporter's Certification in the' transcript; I also wish to remind you that the " disclaimer" is only used in transcripts of meetings that are open to the public and not in the closed meetings.
{
Some of these problems would seem to be correctable by a better quality control check.
Our staf f tries to be diligent in making sure the reporter has at the table the schedule (with correct title and other information), copies of handouts, and a speaker identification chart.
Unfortunately, it would appear that, on some occasions, this information is not used by the typists.
l I
Sincerely, l
l l
