REVIE'N OF REVISION 7K TO THE GENERATING STATIONS EMERGENCY PLAN

Dear Mr. Kingsley:

In December 1997, Region 111 received Revision 7K of the Generating Stations Emergency Plan. This revision was submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Based on your determinations that the changes in Revision 7K do not decrease the effectiveness of your Emergency Plan, and that it continues to meet the standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to Part 50, NRC approvalis not required _. Our initial review of these changes indicates that they are in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that they have not decreased the effectiveness of your Emergency Plan.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room. I Sincerely, J es R. Creed, Chief
