RESULTS OF INTERVIEW WITH BARRY KERF 00T AS RECORDED BY NRC INVESTIGATOR R.K. HERR .

'ON NOVEMBER 8. 1983 On November 8,1983, Barry KERFOOT, a former Brown & Root (B&R) ironworker at the

Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES) was telephonically interviewed :y NRc Investigator R.K. HERR. KERF 00T stated he was employed at CPSES from July 1978 to March 1979, when he left S&R and went into business for himself. KERF 00T said that his foreman was, Robert MESSERLY.

KERF 00T said that while he was employed at CPSES, he was not aware of any undocumented or unauthorized holes drilled through rebar. KERFOOT also saic ne was unaware of the use of the polar crane to relocate the main steam line. KERF:07 denied any knowledge of cuts made on hangers using torches.

XERF007 said that while he was employed at CPSES, nobody intimidated him, or attem;t to intimidate him into conducting his work improperly. KERF 00T also s-tited t.nat he never heard MESSERLY say he had been intimidated, and said he had never hearc of anyone attempting to intimidate NESSERLY.
