FlISTGRICAL The purpose of this instruction is to establish the methods FlLE by which the Field Design Groups control design and con-struction documents used in the performance of daily work activities in accordance with Ref.1-A.

2.2 SCOPE This instruction establishes measures to be used by the Field Design Groups to control design and construction documents re-ceived from the Document Control Center and from various" original design organizations. This instruction also covers control of changes to these documents.

2.3 ABBREVIATIONS & TERMS .

2.4.2 It shall be the responsibility of the Field Design Group File Custodian to control all design and construction documents in accordance with the procedures delineated herein.

3.0 INSTRUCTION 3.1 CDCUMENTS REQUESTED AND RECEIVED FROM DCC 3.1.1 All documents requested and received from DCC shall be controlled in accordance with Document Control Procedures DCP-3, DCP-4, and DCP-5.

3.2 DOCUMENTS RECEIVED FROM GIBBS & HILL 3.2.1 Design drawings are routinely received from Gibbs & Hill for use by the Field Design Group. These drawings are normally received at the same time the drawings are issued to the Comanche Peak Project for material procurement, fabrication, construction, etcetera.

3.2.2 The latest issue of the drawings is maintained in the group's files by the File Custodian. Superseded drawings shall be de-stroyed or, if deemed necessary, may be stamped "For Engineeri'ig and Office Use Only" and retained.

3.2.3 A card index shall be maintained indicating the drawing number and current revision of each drawing received from Gicbs & Hill. In addition, the card shall indicate the transmittal letter which forwarded the drawing and the date the drawing was indexed. Draw-ings entered in the card index prior to implementation of this

( instruction may not indicate all of the above information.

Site l approval of such documents is not required. Recording of revi-sions or changes to these documents is not required. Revisions or changes to these documents will be entered into the original document and any old information will be destroyed.
