~ BASES ACTIONS B.1 and B.2 (continued)

If THERHAL POWER or the Power Range Neutron Flux High trip setpoints is not reduced within the associated Completion Time, or if one or more steam generators have less than two MSSVs OPERABLE, the unit must be pinced in a H00E in which the LC0 does not apply. To achieve this status, the unit must be placed in at least H00E 3 within 6 hours6.944444e-5 days
0.00167 hours
9.920635e-6 weeks
2.283e-6 months
, and in HODE 4 within 12 hours1.388889e-4 days
0.00333 hours
1.984127e-5 weeks
4.566e-6 months
. The allowed Completion Times are reasonable, based on operating experience, to reach the required unit conditions from full power conditions in an orderly manner and without challenging unit systems.

SURVEILLANCE SR 3.7.1.1 REQUIREMENTS This SR verifies the OPERABILITY of the HSSVs by the verification of each MSSV lift setpoint in accordance with the Inservice Testing Program (P.ef. 5).

The ASME Code specifies the activf. ties and frequencies necessary

/tt4A*Ve rj Or v,/re.r to satisfy the requirements. Table 3.7.1 2 allows a setpoint tolerance for OPERABILITY The lift settings, acco.-ding M f*Sef 4 / 7, to Table 3.7.12, correspond to a ent conditions of tne valve Mcw.g A fme,gm t nominal operating temperature pressure.

d This SR is modified by a Note that allows entry into and operation in MODE 3 prior to performing the SR The MSSVs may be either vench tested or tested in situ at hot conditions using an assist device to simulate lift pressure. If the MSSVs are not tested at hot conditions, the lift setting pressure shall be corrected, if necessary, to ambient conditions of the valve at operating temperature and pressure.
