MDAFW PUMP (DPALO1B) START INHIBIT CIRCUIT TEST. LSELS RELAY K4102

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE l

To verify the proper operation of the Motor Driven Aux Feedwater l

Pump start inhibit circuitry on a simulated loss of vital A/C bus voltage (NB02). This test will verify that the LSELS circuitry will initiate a 50 second time delay (Relay No. AL62RP331TDDAL2) that inhibits the I

MDAFP (DPALOlB) from starting on an Aux Feedwater Actuation l

i Signal (AFAS).

2. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA l
  • All required relay contact conditions are met as described in this i procedure.

l

  • Time delay relay AL62RP331TDDAL2 actuates in 5012.5 seconds. I l
3. NOTES AND PRECAUTIONS
  • ESW Pump DPEF01B will receive a trip signal, and SHALL be declared inoperable.

e The "B" MDAFP (DPALolB) SHALL be declared inoperable during the performance of this procedure due to this test defeating the auto start function on an AFAS.

. The Alternate Feeder Breaker for NB02 (NB0212) will receive a trip signal.

4. PREREOUISITES
  • A Control Room brief, including compensatory action has been conducted prior to the start of this procedure.

i e Compensatory Actions

1. Remove power supply from K4102, and reland lead to ,

terminal 6.

  • The ShiA Supervisor has given permission to conduct this test procedure.

  • NB02 Bus normal Feeder Breaker (NB0209) clomi.
  • An IAC brief WILL be conducted by the Test Engineer. i
  • QC termination verification required.

5. TEST EQUIPMENT
  • Portable 48-vdc isolating power supply, capable of carrying a 1-amp loed.
  • Simpson 260 Voltmeter
  • Digital Muhlmeter, Keithley 197A or equivalent. {
  • Stopwatch, calibrated.
  • Test leads for meters and power supply. -
6. PROCEDURE 6.1 At NF039C, Lift vendor wire from relay K4102 terminal 6 and tape. This disables autohntic load shed capability of the "B" ESW Pump and the AFAS inhibit for the "B" MDAFP.

1 range) between terminals 8 and 9 on TB 2. This will monitor the 50 second AFAS inhibit circuit from time delay relay  ;

NOTE The next Step will generate a TRIP signal to the"B" ESW Pump if running.

6.4 Energize LSELS relay K4102 with 48 vde hm the temporary power supply and verify proper operation of relay K4102 and relay AL62RP331TDDAL2 by observing the DMM installed at SA036B for the followi'ng change in indication:

i e Prior to energizing K4102 the DMM should indicate the presence of 125 vdc.

e AAer K4102 is energized the 125 vde indication should go to o vdc and stay.

Deenergize relay K4102 and verify proper time delay function of relay l 6.5 '

l AL62RP331TDDAL2 by the following change in indication.

e 50 seconds i 2.5 seconds aAer K4102 is deewgized the DMM installed at SA036B should indicate the presence of 125 vdc.

7. RESTORATION 7.1 Remove test equipment installed at NF039C and S A036B.

  • a O ETP-NF-00002 Rev. 0 31 7.3 Verify proper circuit continuity for relay K4102 by connecting a Simpson 260 (set on the 2.50 ydc range or lower) positive lead at relay l K4102 terminal 6 and the negative lead at terminal 7. A small meter l defection WILL occur when a ATI test pulse is present. The ATI test l i

steps that are applicable to relay K4102 are 2,4,45,50,55 and 60. Only one step / meter deflection is necessary to verify continuity.
