SALP BOARD REVIEW OF TROJAN - DOCKET NO. 50-344 Per my memorandum of August 20, 1981 the completed sections of Attachment IV (less evaluation items) of the draf t NRC Manual Chapter 0516 (SALP), and  !

a summary of inspection activitics and analyses of LER's received and items l of noncompliance issued by this office in the period from June 1980 to l June 30, 1981 are transmitted herewith in enclosure (1). In addition, the

[ executive sunrnary of the PAS inspection at Trojan this past year is transmitted

( as enclosure 2. Although the PAS findings may be used in developing a regional board evaluation in the various functional areas, the potential l items of noncompliance will be considered in the Cycle 3 SALP af ter they have been evaluated by the Senior Resident Inspector.

Based on review of the above material, the results of inspections perfonned and/or observations of licensee perfonnance during the above internal, you are requested to prepare Perfonnance Analyses as described in Part IV, Paragraph B.3 of Appendix 0516 of the draft NRC Manual in the fonnat shown in Attachment IV-1,Section III. Such anal functional Area (shown in Attachment IV-2)inyses which should be prepared you have for each been involved.

The NRR Project Manager should prepare his input in accordance with Part III of Appendix 0516. It is important that this input be fomarded to this office in time to be received by October 7,1981. This input will then be available for consideration by the board members at the Regional Board meeting on October 14, 1981. Please note that justification must be provided for any recomended changes in the inspection program.
