requirements on installed plant equipment at the Waterford 3 SES.

1.2 This procedure shall apply to all plant. departments concerned with plant. equipment lubrication sampling from the time of release from

4.2' The MS-N or his designee is responsible for assimilating, formulating, reviewing, and updating sampling and equipment lubrication requirements in the PLM based upon input from the responsible' plant departments.

4.3 Each plant department is responsible for:

4.3.1 Identifying to the MS-N or his designee any noted discrepancies to the PLM such as additional or missing components, deletions, etc.

MOTE The MS-N and his designee are the only persons to authorize additions, deletions or revisions to the PLM.

4.3.2 For ensuring an adequate supply of lubricants for both Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.

Additionally, the Mechanical Maintenance Department shall maintain an adequate supply of lubricating oils for the Operations Department.

4.3.3 Maintaining and controlling an acceptable lubricant storage area

to prevent misuse or contamination of the stored lubricants.

4.3.4 Ensuring that lubrication activities as prescribed in the PLM are scheduled and performed properly and in a timely manner in ac-cordance with the appropriate references.

4.3.5 Maintaining a schedule of lubrication requirements for equipment under their jurisdiction having a service or change frequency'of more often than monthly.

4.3.6 Making every effort to schedule the performance of equipment lubrication in conjunction with other operational and maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.

4.4 The Quality Control (QC) Department shall inspect each storage area on a semiannual basis to ensure acceptable lubricant storage facilities.

4.5 The Plant Chemistry (PC) Department shall be responsible for administration of the lubrication sampling and analysis program.

f 5.1 PLANT LU3RICATION MANUAL 5.1.1 The PLM is a controlled document and shall be distributed, revised and otherwise controlled in accordance with References 2.5 and 2.6.

5.1.2 The PLM will be maintained by the MS-N or his designee (section 4.2) and shall include the following sections:

5.1.2.1 General - This section shall describe the manual and its use.

5.1.2.2 Lubrication Records - This section describes the use of task cards for scheduling, performing and maintaining historical.

records of the Plant Lubrication program by utilizing the MPSS.

5.1.2.-3 Acronyms and Abbreviations - This section lists and defines 1

. acronyms and abbreviations as used in the PLM.

5.1.2.4' Lubricant Data - This section lists and describes the various types of approve'd lubricants.

5.1.2.5 Lubricant Data' Schedule - This section is a copy of a computer printout which provides specific equipment lubrication data.

5.1.3 The PLM will be.periodi~cally reviewed and updated as necessary (section 4.2).

5.2 LUBRICATION SCHEDULING 5.2.1 The lubricant s2mpling and the-actual lubrication of plant equipment shall be scheduled in a'ccordance with Reference 2.3.

5.3.1 Equipment or component lucricaticn should ce,cerformed an ac-cordance witn References 2.1 (Plant Labri:ation Manual) and 2.0 (MM-4-001, Lubrication Procedure).

5.3.2 After the lubrication is complete, the apprcpriate entries shall be entered on the task card to accurately document tne equipment or component lucrication.

5.3.3 All waste lubricant shall be disposed of in accordance with Reference 2.7 (UNT-5-001, Hazardous 'daste Management and Control).
