S.8.1 If filter housing is the esposed type, inspect it for leaks, broken seals or damage.

into the circulation system when the filter ce housing is removed.

8.8.3 Remove the filter housing and/or filter.

S.8.4 Install a new filter cartridge, replace housing, and fasten securely in place.

S.8.5 If filter contains a mesh screen as part of the filtering

mechanism, Wash the metallic mesh with approved safe:y selvent.

When thoroughly cleaned, wipe dry with a lint-free cle n, or clew dry with an air hose.

If the filter manufacturer recommends that the screen be impregnated with' oil before it is reassembled, use the same lubrican as the filter reserveir.

8.8.6 Replace housing and fasten it securely in place.

Make sure all clips and/or gaskets are in placo before acusing is replaced.

8.9 LUBRICATION II;STRUCTION FOR OIL SAMPLING CAUTION If sampling frc= a drain plug, do not loosen or remove it unless the component has been shut down.

NOTE The sample amount is shown in the Plant Lubrication Manual.

8.9 1 While the machine is running or immediately after shutdown, draw a sample from the reservoir above the drain level or frc= the circulation pump discharge line.

8.9.2 If there is no circulation system, take a sample from the line ahead of any filtering devices.

8.9.3. Label the sample, including the following information:

Oil service time E.

Part sampled F.
