T NOTICE OF VIOLATL0ll Commonwealth Edison Company Dockets No. 50-456; 50-457 Braidwood Station Licenses No HPF-72; NPF-77 As a result of the inspection conducted on January 5 through 8,1993, and in accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (Enforcement Policy), the following violation was identified.
Technical Specification 6.11 requires that procedures shall be prepared consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 20 and shall be approved, maintained, and adhered to for all operations involving personnel radiation exposure.
Procedure BwRP 1110-3, Radiological Postings, Labels, and Controls, Section C.3 requires that each centrolled area shall be conspicuously posted so as to warn personnel approaching the area from any direction.
Contrary to the above, on January 5 through 6,1993, four examples were identified in which controlled areas were not conspicuously posted so as to warn personnel approaching the area from any direction. These areas were located on the 383' elevation in Unit I curved wall room above the steam generator valve isle and the Unit 2B residual heat removal pump room.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement IV).
The inspection showed that steps had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence. Consequently, no reply to the violation
