SUBJECT:

HATCH 1 - DRYWELL TO TCRUS DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SYSTEM (0 ELD #842435)

Did our letter of January 25, 1984, have sufficient information in it so that it amounted to a Safety Evaluation Report giving a justification for our con-clusion that what they want to do is okay? The letter in this package does not do that, it doesn't give any basis for the conclusion that what they want to do is okay but it refers to a letter of January 25 in which we informed them that we concluded that their analysis was acceptable.

If that letter was more than just a simple statement of conclusion then this is okay.

If it wasn't then this package needs to be beefed up to give some evaluation of this proposal and our basis concluding that its okay.
