Dear Sir:

The NRC was notified of a potentially reportable deficiency in Reference (A), Interim Reports were transmitted by References (B) and (E), and Time Extensions were requested by References (C) and (D). At that time, it was estimated that a Final Report would be available by June 29, 1984.

A preliminary Final Report has been submitted to APS for review. It is expected a Final Report will be completed by August 10, 1984 for transmittal to the NRC.

There is no new information or change to the Interim Report at this time.
