which, in turn, reduced lthe chlori- :ontact time.. This contact time y vas' too short to provide. effectivt sinfection.

it To correct 'this situation, the chlorine concentration was increased in the contact tank. N flow path from the vet vell into the plant was adjus+ed to allev the - uurges- to be absorbed to prevent recurrence.
