Dear Mr. Schmidt:
On Jure 21, 1983, outfall 001, monitoring point 101 experienced a total residus) chlorine of about 2.0 ppm, which is greater than the specification of 0.S ppn. This condition existed for about 41/2 hours due to the air binding of the purnp used to add the dechlorinating agent. The pump was vented and returned to service.
Due to the infrequency and upredictability of this event, no further corrective action is deemed necessary.
