This is an update to previous reports submitted on February 7, 1983, and June 2, 1983. The event for which the report was submitted is described in the following paragraphs.

During an inspection of completed work which. corrected fire protection deficiencies on redundant raceways / cables (Reference LER 82-106/01 T-0),

Field Engineering identified similar deficiencies which were not previously identified by the Architect Engineer but which were a result of incomplete construction. LCO's 83-0018, 83-0019, and 83-0020 were entered on January 5, 1983, to establish fire watches in the Auxiliary Building, Turbine Building, and Control Building areas which were not previously covered under LCO 83-0036 (Reference LER 82-106/01 T-0).

. Maintenance work authorizations were issued to correct the deficiencies, and all work is complete. All LCO's were' lifted by August 23, 1983. This is a final report.

Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Update Report - Redundant Division Raceway Fire Protection Deficiencies Discovered LER 83-010/99 X-2 AECM-83/0500 This letter submits an update to previous reports submitted on February 7, 1983, and June 2, 1983. The event for which the reports were submitted occurred on January 5, 1983, when during an inspection of completed work which corrected fire protection deficiencies on redundant raceways / cables, it was noted that there were similar deficiencies in the Auxiliary Building, Turbine Building, and Control Building. Fire watches were established in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.7.a. The event was reported pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.2.

All work is complete and all LCO's associated with the task have been lifted. Attached is LER 83-010/99 X-2, which is a final report.
