In order for us to make an evaluation of your requent for relief pursuant to 10 CPR 50.55a(g)(6)(1) for tne period of tire af ter the start of comoercial operation, you will need to provide inrormation to stsport ycur oeterminations of these items of insyction and testing wnich are deeml to be bpractical for the facility. we specific information tnat we will need is provided as Enclosures 1 and 2 of th%1etter.

Particular attention should be directed toward tne valve exercising (cycling) rests.

In this regard, some baalc guidelines for excluding exerciaireg (cycling) tests of certain valves during plant operatica are contained in.

Valve leakage tests and otner valve and pung tests required by the ASdC Code should ce reviewed for eacn eccpenent, rela-tive to each plant operating =ade, to assure tnat no test will nave an a:: verse 1::qnce on plant safery.
