.~iEs DCQGT NOS. 50-387 and 50-388 As petitioners," our interests and reasons for intervention were outlined in a petition submitted in September, 1978. Subsequent amendments were more recently submitted explicity statin 6 allegations and contentions to be debated at the public hearin63.

It was not our intent in filing several amendmen'ts to delay response s from the NRC or the Applicants. On the contrary, the' Citizen the interveners, the general public, the news media, and the Congress await the NRC and the Applicants' official positions on these vital issues that involve property r16 hts,.public health and safety, and human rights.

The sixteen contentions submitted are relevant and salient. They were .not enumerated because they are multi-faceted and may aquire clarification. It is believed that, in accordance with the Order of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, dated December 14, 1978, it
