OF JANUARY 24, 2019, PRESUBMIITAL TELECONFERENCE MEETING WITH ENERGY NORTHWEST, TO DISCUSS A SHIELD WALL DEFERRAL LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR THE COLUMBIA GENERATING STATION (EPID L-2019-LRM-0002)
On January 24, 2019, a Category 1 public meeting was held by teleconference between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of Energy Northwest (the licensee). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a planned license amendment request (LAR) regarding shield wall deferral for the Columbia Generating Station (Columbia). The meeting notice and agenda, dated January 7, 2019, are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML19009A390. Enclosed is a list of attendees at the meeting.
During the meeting, the licensee presented information which was meant to further define the pending future submission. The licensee's presentation used for the meeting is available in ADAMS at Accession No. ML19023A036. The licensee's presentation outlined the licensing and technical aspects of the upcoming LAR including the scope of work, key features, and intended schedule plan for the amendment.
Also during the meeting, the NRC staff and the licensee discussed general sufficiency items that should be considered as part of the upcoming submittal.
One member of the public was in attendance at the meeting. Public Meeting Feedback forms were not received.
