SUMMARY

OF THE JUNE 18, 2024, INFORMATION MEETING WITH QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION TO DISCUSS THE 2023 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT OF SAFETY PERFORMANCE AT COLUMBIA GENERATING STATION On June 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (PDT), representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held an information meeting with a question-and-answer session to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Columbia Generating Station (CGS) for 2023 at Richland City Hall in Richland, Washington. The responsible NRC Division Director, resident inspectors, and staff were available for questions about the safety performance of the station and the NRC's role in ensuring safe plant operations. Two representatives from Energy Northwest were in attendance along with 15 city council members and 6 other members of the public. No public meeting feedback forms were received at the meeting.

Representatives from the NRC made available copies of the annual assessment letter regarding Columbia Generating Stations performance during 2023 (ADAMS Accession No. ML24047A315), the NRC Annual Assessment Summary for Columbia Generating Station PowerPoint handouts (attached), the NRC Information Digest (NUREG-1350), and other brochures and fact sheets.
