The program included the submittal of contractors'

background verification program to the licensee for approval and the conduct of random audits of the contractors' compliance with their background verification programs by the license . MC 92704 - Followup on Regulatory Effectiveness Review Findings During this inspection, the inspector reviewed the status of licensee's actions as a result of findings from the April 8-12, 1985, Regulatory Effectiveness Review (RER). Those actions were described in the licensee's November 13, 1985 letter to the NRC. The actions reviewed and the findings from this inspection are identified by the number correspon-Jing to those in the RER Report. See Attachment 1 for the results of the revie . MC 81018 - Security Plan and Implementing Procedures The Security Plan for the Beaver Valley Power Station, Revision No. 9, dated May 19, 1986, and implementing procedures were reviewed by the inspector and found to be adequate and appropriate to meet the general performance requirements and objectives of Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Paragraph 73.55, and other governing regulation . required to be retained for specified periods of time were complete, well maintained, and readily available at the sit . MC 81058 - Security System Power Supply The inspector determined that the licensee was maintainirg an adequate uninterruptible power supply system to provide emergency power to physical

security equipment in accordance with the physical security plan. The inspector verified, through a review of test and maintenance records, that the power supply system was tested at periodic intervals, as require . MC 81062 - Lighting

illumination requirements contained in the security plan. The lighting was sufficient for security force members to monitor and observe persons and activities by direct visual surveillanc . MC 81064 - Compensatory Measures Through a review of security records and interviews with security officers, the inspector found that the implementation of compensatory security measures conformed to the security plan and implementing procedure .
