INSPECTION REPORT NO /87-12, 50-270/87-12 AND 50-287/87-12 As a result of the NRC inspection (50-269, 270, 287/87-02) conducted on January 26-30, 1987, a violation, item 269, 270, 287/87-02-01, was identified to you at the exit intervie The violation involved the failure to perform an adequate Appendix R Circuit Analysis for certain high pressure-low pressure interface NRC concerns relative to the inspection findings were discussed with Mr. R. B. Priory, Vice President of Design Engineering, Duke Power Company in an Enforcement Conference held on March 6, 1987. A summary of the Enforcement Conference is documented in the enclosed Inspection Report (50-269, 270, 287/87-12).
The items discussed at the Enforcement Conference are under consideration for escalated enforcement actio Accordingly, no notice of violation is beinq issued at this time.
