NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-413/87-43, 50-414/87-43, 50-369/87-45, 50-370/87-45, 50-269/87-50, 50-270/87-50 and 50-287/87-50 This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted by W. Tobin on December 8-9, 1987. The inspection included a review of activities at your Nuclear Security Corporate Departmen At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed inspection repor Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the repor Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progres The inspection findings indicate that certain activities appeared to violate NRC requirements relative to the protection of Safeguards Informatio The violation described in the enclosed inspection report is under consideration for escalated enforcement action. Accordingly, no Notice of Violation is being issued at this time, and no response to this letter is require However, please be advised that the number and characterization of violations described in the enclosed inspection report may change as a result of further NRC revie An Enforcement Conference to discuss this violation has been scheduled for January 15, 198 You will be advised by separate correspondence of the results of our deliberations on this matte In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(d) and 10 CFR 73.21, safeguards activities and security measures are exempt from public disclosure.
