TVA letter to NRC dated February 7,1997, on the above subject.  !

The purpose of this letter is to provide supplementalinformation to NRC for the TVA responses to NRC's request for additional Information in the referenced letter. In addition, responses to six additional questions that were obtained during telephone conversations and meetings between February 20 and 27,1997, are included in this letter.

The above reference provided responses to 36 NRC questions. NRC determined that no additional information to these responses was necessary with the exception of the

' responses to Questions 1, 2, 7, 8,11,12,15, 20, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32, and 33.

Enclosure 1 provides the proprietary version of the revised responses to these questions (except for Question 1) as requested by NRC during a meeting between TVA and NRC on February 27,1997 in the NRC Rockville offices and a telephone call on February 3,1997. The revised response to Question 1 will be submitted under a separate letter to NRC at a later date. Enclosure 2 coritains the non-proprietary version j of the revised responses. Enclosure 3 provides the proprietary version of the responses to the six additional questions that are numbered 37 through 42. Enclosure 4 contains the non-proprietary version of the additional responses.

Since Enclosures 1 and 3 provide information which is proprietary to Framatome Cogema Fuels (FCF), Enclosure 5 contains the application for withholding and affidavit signed by FCF, the owner of the information. The application for withholding and the affidavit set forth the basis on which the information may be withheld from public -)

disclosure by NRC and address with specificity the considerations listed in Section 2.790, Paragraph (b)(4) of the NRC regulations.  ;
