SUBJECT:

NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 70-1257/93-08 This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. P. Qualls of this office on June 28 through July 2,1993, and discussions with Mr. T. Probasco of your staff on July 29, 1993.

The inspection included a review of activities authorized for your Siemens Power Corporation facility in Richland, Washington. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the inclosed report.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with J

personnel, and observations of activities in progress by the inspectors.

The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by the license were conducted safely and in accordance with NRC requirements.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations from NRC l

requirements were identified.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
