I received your June 30 letter that responded to the Executive Director for Operations (EDO) backfit appeal determination regarding beyond design basis accidents in spent fuel pools. In the letter you noted that it was your belief that additional information will be developed on this subject over the next several months during the development of a risk-informed basis for j decommissioning. You also noted you would contact the EDO at that point to schedule a meeting to complete the backfit appeal process. The staff has completed all actions associated with your backfit appeal and therefore we will await for you to provide new information for consideration prior to taking any additional action.
