NRC INSPECTION REPORT 70-1257/99-02

Dear Mr. Femreite:

On July 16,1999, the NRC completed a routine inspection at your Siemens Power Corporation facility in Richland, Washington. The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by your license were conducted safely and in acccrdance with NRC requirements.

Areas examined during the inspection were operational safety, waste management programs and environmental protection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective j examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and {

observation of activities in progress. No violations were identified during the inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, its enclosure and your respcose will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
