l NOTICE OF VIOLATION Illinois Power Company License No. SNM-1886 As a result of the inspection conducted on April 28 through June 6,1986, and in accordance with 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C - General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions (1985), the following violation was identified:
Materials License Number SNM-1886, dated August 7, 1985 Item 18 states "All firehoses servicing the New Fuel Storage Vault area shall be equipped with solid stream nozzles."
Contrary to the above, on April 30, 1986, an inspector while performing a plant tour of the Fuel Building, Elevation 755', observed that one recently installed length of fire hcse had a fog nozzle attached to the fire hose instead cf the required solid stream nozzle.
This is a Severity Level IV violation (Supplement 1).
Fursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice a written statement or e>planation in reply, including for each violation: (1)correctiveaction taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause shown.
