Generally, knowinq and willful violations of PnC reculations which implenent the UnC-annlicable portions of the Atonic Energy Act (as well as other Fednral statutes) are defined as crires and are lenally construed as viola-tions of the Atonic Enercy Act. The evidence qathered by IE investinators may ertahlish willful violations o' various sections of the Federal crininal code such as: f alse statenents (18 USC 1001), conspiracy (18 USC 371), nail fraud (19 USC 1341 or 1343) or related offenses. The IE investiootion of these matters in addition to sunporting HDC civil enforcenent actions are referred to the "enertnent of Justice for criminal orosecution.
