UNITS 1 AND 2 - DOCKET NOS. 50-327 AND 50-328 - FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-77 AND DPR LICENSEE EVENT REPORT (LER) 50-327/97002 The enclosed report provides details concerning a condition that resulted in the granting of enforcement discretion. The condition dealt with problems encountered during maintenance activities to the 2A-A diesel generator governor. This condition is being reported in accordance with 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(i)(B) as an operation prohibited by the pir.nt's technical specifications.

1 It should be noted that on August 22,1996, Technical Specification change request 96-08 was submitted to NRC. This technical specification change request provides the justification to extend the diesel generator allowed outage time to seven days. Approval of this technical specification change request will reduce the need for future enforcement discretion associated with the diesel generators.
