D:ckGt No. 50-3 52 Attachment to Monthly

, Operating Report .for November, 1985 Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 ,

November 1 through November 30, 1985 n 1)

I. Narrative Summary of Operating Experiences 4-The unit began the month at approximately 68% power.

On November 5, load was reduced 30% to perform Startup Test Procedure-30 (Recirculation System). The results of plant stability following transient responses and steady state '{

conditions of recirculation pump trips, pump performance d' data and the verification of noncavitation in the ,

recirculation system were within the specified limits of the procedure. The unit resumed power escalation the next day.

On November 14, during performance of Startup Test Procedure-27 (Turbine Trip Test), the turbine control valves and stop valves closed as planned. However, combined intermediate valve $6 would not re-open, thereby leaving the unit in the shutdown sede. On November 16, the valve was determined operable and a decision was made to remain shutdown to replace three Intermediate Range Monitor detector assemblies and one Source Range Monitor detector -

assembly to accommodate reactor restart.
